Description:
e-Xstream engineering is a spin-off from the Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve and was co-founded by R. Assaker and I. Doghri in May 2003. e-Xstream develops the DIGIMAT software platform and offers related consulting services concerning multi-scale modeling of the multi-physical behaviour of advanced multi-phase materials, such as Polymer Matrix Composites (including engineering thermoplastics), Rubber Matrix Composites, Metal Matrix Composites, ... that are used across the following industries: automotive, aerospace, consumer, industrial goods… Multi-scale material modeling consists in understanding and predicting the macroscopic (i.e. composite) behaviour of a material based on the knowledge of the underlying microstructure (i.e. composite phases). e-Xstream aims at providing its customers with a complete and optimal modeling solution that suits their specific needs and integrates their existing design processes: from the compounding of the raw material (e.g. engineering plastics, rubbers, CFRP, etc.) to processing (e.g. injection molding) and application in the final product.
